Raixa is a famous villa in the island. It was built during the arab's period and its spectacular garden is one of the most famous one's in Mallorca. From 13th to 20th centuries the villa has had different owners and has been modified several times. Its most significant owner was Antonio Despuig in 18th century, who transformed the building into an Italian style villa and asked the Italian sculptor Giovanni Lazzarini to design the garden. The result of this collaboration is the amazing garden we can visit nowadays, divided into three different areas, with an incredible "belvedere" and numerous sculptures that create a magical environment.
