Pueblo Español

Open air museum depicting the architecture and typical buildings of different Spanish cities and styles. The project was carried out in the sixties by the architecture Fernando Chueca Goitia, famous for being the architecture of Madrid's Cathedral "La Almudena". The idea of constructing such a museum was to enable people visiting or living in the island to take a walk around the most characteristic architectural Spanish styles: arabic, gothic, baroque, etc. The streets and squares of this neighbourhood are often used for different performances and events, as the house of congress located inside.
