Pou des Lleó Beach

What we usually call Pou des LLeó ( Lion´s Well) is actually es "Canal de´n Martí" ( Martí´s Channel),  do not expect for a sandy cove, there is plenty of pebbles and the small piece of sand we have at the entrance of the beach could be there or could not be, depends on the weather we had in winter. Anyway it´s one of favorite spots in San Carlos in winter and in sommer, there are lots of tracks to take a walk, to the right side you can visit a Defence Tower, called "Torre d´en Valls". The tower was made here because this was one of the favorite spots from arabic pirates to get to our shores ,and so is reflected in our ancient folk songs. During the spanish civil war, the Republican Troops got the island in this same place. Walking to the left side to the beach will guide you through red grounds to different corners where can lay down, relax and enjoy the peaceful sound of the wind and the sea. Restaurante Can Salvadó just on the side of the beach, besides the boat sheds one of the best places of the island to taste our mythical "Bullit de Peix"  ( fresh boilled rockfish) and Restaurante Pou des LLeó, just 100 meters before you get here a nice place to taste their paellas.
