In the early 60´s hippies started to arrive to Ibiza and Formentera, many of them were american guys who were deserting from Vietnam war, others german escaping from the cold north of Europe, british, french, our islands became some kind of UNO.  The good currency ( the exchange from any money from europe to the antique "pesetas") gave them the chance to have a good live level, the nice weather, the simple and cheap living made many of these young girls and boys come to live to the Pitiusas.

They used to sell what they were manufacturating, there was always somebody buying something made with their own hands. La Mola Craft Fair is a reminiscent of what this hippy assossiation was, a number of artists ( musicians and craftsmen) who met at least a day per week in some point of our geography to sell their art.
