Originally from Croatia, the artist Cristian Krekovic spent his last 25 years in Mallorca, where he discovered the Spanish and Latin American art, along with the traditions and culture of the Balearic Islands. Visiting his museum enables to witness the genius of an artist worldwide recognised but not very famous in Spain. Most part of the collection is composed by paintings by Krekovic of different topics, such as ancient cultures in Peru, inspired by the archaeological remains and ceramics, textiles and jewelry of Peruvian museums during his years in that country; the Spanish conquer of America and a series of artworks depicting the desolation and anguish he felt following the WWII and his subsequent exile.
