Cala Pada Beach

Cala Pada offers a broad, sandy beach with a slowly shelving sea bed and magically transparent waters. Fragrant pines surround the sand bar above craggy red rocks. There is a long wooden boardwalk stretching from the shore right into the sea. Often frequented by guests of the nearby Cala Pada resort, its also a great option to escape to when the lunchtime rush fills neighbouring Santa Eulalia. It is a nice place to stop around midday to drink a glass of wine or a beer, a busy but quiet spot, in which we are a good representation of what Ibiza is : an english colony mixed with german, ibizan and people from many different parts of the world meeting around music. Three different restaurants and bars with different international kitchen, from spanish tapas to thai food. Nice ambiance. The offshore reefs protect the bay from the sea, making it popular with the island's windsurfers when the south wind blows. Tip : parking here can sometimes be very tight, instead of turning to Cala Pada take the road that drives to S´Argamassa and park as close to the bend as you can, it is only 50m away from the beach.
