The Marine Forum of Ibiza and Formentera is an annual symposium for open debates focused on and around marine conservation issues affecting the two islands, with contributions from national and world-renowned experts.
The symposium provides a unique opportunity by uniting public and private sectors with civil society, all sharing a common concern for the protection of our marine environment.
It serves as a think tank, through which marine conservation projects can be developed, discussed, promoted and monitored.
The three pillars of the Marine Forum of Ibiza and Formentera
The Forum aims to stimulate high-level debate and propose a framework for the recovery of our marine environment, in the hope of reaching this goal by 2030.
This framework is based around three key objectives:
Reducing discharges of wasterwater into the sea
Improving the protection of coastal habitats
Eliminate single-use plastics in Ibiza & Formentera by 2021
