We witness the discussion between a father and a mother for the custody of their daughter; and it can be said that we are witnessing the ugliest part of the human species. Finlandia, superbly played by Irene Escolar and Israel Elejalde, is one of the sensations of this autumn's theater season. Rambert, creator and director of the play, says: “I wrote Finlandia in a brutal way. No pause, very fast, to expel this text from inside me. I did it for Israel Elejalde and Irene Escolar, whose underground rhythms I know perfectly well in their way of acting and their ultra-fast ability to change speed in a sentence. I have connected to their violent frequency and made them speak.”
